Monday, Sep 1, 2025 - Day 1: Departure from USA to Europe
Make your way to your local airport, where you will board your overnight flight(s). Your meals will be served on board.
Tuesday, Sep 2, 2025 - Day 2: Arrive in Warsaw
Upon arrival in Warsaw airport you will find your luggage and exit the baggage claim into the Arrivals Hall where you will be greeted by our 81 tours escort. After a warm welcome to Poland, we begin our pilgrimage with 5 pm Mass at the Motherhouse of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, the order to which St. Faustina belonged, followed by time to pray and to see an exhibit on the life of St. Faustina. Dinner, and overnight in Warsaw.
Wednesday, Sep 3, 2025 - Day 3: Warsaw - Derdy - Plock
Following breakfast, we will depart for Derdy. Morning retreat followed by lunch. Depart for Płock. Mass in Sisters’ chapel, followed by Adoration. Dinner and overnight with the Sisters.
Thursday, Sep 4, 2025 - Day 4: Plock - Czestochowa
Early breakfast, presentation on the significance of this convent and the different versions of the Divine Mercy image. Leave for Czestochowa. Lunch there, followed by a tour of the Shrine. Mass before Black Madonna, time for shopping. Dinner and
overnight in Czestochowa. Optional 9 pm appeal.
Friday, Sep 5, 2025 - Day 5: Czestochowa (retreat day)
After breakfast, today will be a day of retreat, led by the pilgrimage leadership team. Lunch on your own. Mass either before the Black Madonna or somewhere else at the Shrine. Dinner at the hotel and overnight.
Saturday, Sep 6, 2025 - Day 6: Czestochowa - Łagiewniki
Early breakfast, depart for Krakow. Check-in and lunch on your own. Meet for a tour of the Sisters’ convent and Divine Mercy Shrine, and a presentation by the Sisters about its significance. Mass in Sisters’ Chapel. Rest of the day on your own, including dinner. Overnight Krakow.
Sunday, Sep 7, 2025 - Day 7: Zakopane
After breakfast, Holy Mass and excursion to Zakopane, the capital of the Polish Mountains: a town filled with beautiful and unique national-style wooden houses. Dinner with music at a Highlander restaurant. Return to hotel.
Monday, Sep 8, 2025 - Day 8: Wieliczka Salt Mine and Wadowice
Mass in Parish Church of St. John Paul II or in the Salt Mine. Early breakfast. Depart for Wieliczka. Guided tour of Wieliczka Salt Mine – one of the oldest salt mines in the world. In 1978, Wieliczka Salt Mine was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Lunch in Wadowice. After lunch, exhibit on life of St. John Paul II. Dinner on your own, overnight in Krakow.
Tuesday, Sep 9, 2025 - Day 9: Krakow Old Town
Early breakfast, head to Krakow. Today we will tour the main Market Square, as the sound of the silver trumpet from St. Mary’s Tower fills the air. The captivating beauty of this square is largely due to the fact that it has remained unchanged for almost 700 years. It contains a number of buildings that hold important historic value: Wawel Hill with the castle, its beautiful courtyard and the Cathedral (sightseeing inside: entrance tickets included); Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture of the Old Town (Stare Miasto), the biggest medieval market square in Europe (Rynek Glowny); the Town Hall; Collegium Maius - an ancient building belonging to the Jagiellonian University, the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice); Saint Mary’s Church (Kosciol Mariacki – sightseeing inside: entrance tickets included) with the famous altar by Veit Stoss; antique walls of the Old Town with Florianska Gate and the Barbican; The Archbishop's Palace, where Karol Wojtyla lived as a cardinal and as Krakow's archbishop; the Franciscan Church, where he prayed. His favourite pew is located there. Sightsee Krakow's Old Town and the Jagiellonian University, where Karol Wojtyla studied from 1938 – 1939 before World War II. Fr. Karol Wojtyla worked with students at Saint Florian's Church school, situated at the Matejko Square. He travelled a lot with his students, who called him “Uncle”. In 1978 Krakow was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Holy Mass where St. John Paul II was ordained. Free day in old city. Lunch on your own. Dinner with live music and overnight.
Wednesday, Sep 10, 2025 - Day 10: Kalvaria
At 9 years of age, John Paul II lost his mother to kidney failure and heart attack. After the death of his mother, John Paul II’s father brought him to the sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, and took him to the image of Our Lady of Kalwaria, and said to him, “From now on, she will be your Mother.” Mass today will be in the Chapel with this image. Lunch as a group. Enjoy this day for walking the stations, praying, and seeing the Church. Dinner on your own.
Thursday, Sep 11, 2025 - Day 11: Free day, Auschwitz/Birkenau - optional
Today is a free day, to spend as you choose. If you selected the optional excursion to Auschwitz at the time of registration, then today we will go there, the notorious Nazi concentration camp during the Second World War. Upon arriving at the former camp, you will surely feel the darkness and sorrow that overtakes the atmosphere, as our guide shares numerous unspeakable atrocities that occurred. During the visit, we will have an opportunity to see the cell that imprisoned the Christ-like St. Maximilian Kolbe, and visit the Martyrdom Museum.
Friday, Sep 12, 2025 - Day 12: Krakow TO USA
Breakfast. Early Holy Mass in Łagiewniki before the flight.
Depart from Krakow to Dulles or to Rome if you choose the extension offered in honor of the Jubilee Year.

Saturday, Sep 13, 2025 - Day 2: Rome
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for St. Peter’s Basilica for Mass, followed by a guided tour of the Vatican Museums/Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Lunch on own. Afternoon Scavi tour (necropolis) beneath the Basilica.Dinner at local restaurant.
Sunday, Sep 14, 2025 - Day 3: Baroque Rome
After an early breakfast, depart for the first part of a guided tour of Baroque Rome, the Piazza Navona, a lively square know for its Baroque architecture and three magnificent fountains, including the fountain of the Four Rivers by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. It’s a great place to enjoy street performances and local cuisine at nearby cafes. Attend traditional Sunday Angelus address by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon we resume our guided tour of Baroque Rome; the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Navona Square and the Pantheon.
Spanish Steps: This monumental stairway of 135 steps is located in the Piazza di Spagna and connects the piazza to the Trinità dei Monti church. It's a popular gathering place and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
Trevi Fountain: One of the most famous fountains in the world, the Trevi Fountain was completed in 1762. Visitors traditionally toss a coin into the fountain to ensure their return to Rome, making it a vibrant and romantic spot.
Pantheon: Originally built as a temple for the Roman gods, the Pantheon is an architectural marvel completed in 126 AD. Its massive dome and oculus are engineering feats, and it remains one of the best-preserved ancient buildings in Rome. Dinner on your own and overnight in Rome.
Monday, Sep 15, 2025 - Day 4: Rome
Breakfast at hotel. Afternoon guided tour of the Basilicas of St. Paul Outside the Walls, St. John Lateran, Holy Cross, and St. Mary Major. Lunch on own. Dinner at local restaurant. Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls: This major basilica is built over the tomb of St. Paul and features stunning mosaics and a beautiful cloister. It is one of the four papal basilicas and is known for its serene atmosphere. Basilica of St. John Lateran: As the Cathedral of Rome and the oldest basilica, it is rich in history and architecture. The basilica houses important relics and is adorned with magnificent artworks, including the statue of St. John the Baptist. Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem: This basilica contains a significant collection of relics, including fragments of the True Cross. Its beautiful chapels and artworks make it a site of great spiritual importance. Basilica of St. Mary Major: This is one of the four major basilicas in Rome, known for its stunning mosaics. The oldest Marian Shrine in the West, this basilica has a beautiful nave and a serene ambiance perfect for prayer and reflection.

St. Patrick Church is a Roman Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Washington. Immersed in the mystery of the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, especially through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass from which all good flows, we are a parish centered in the Divine Mercy of Jesus Christ in prayerful reparation for our own sins and the sins of the whole world.


Father John Patrick Tindana
Father John Patrick Tindana is a diocesan priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra, Ghana. He was ordained on August 25, 2007. He holds a degree in Canon Law from the Urban University in Rome. He is currently offering pastoral ministry in the United States of America. He has served in the churches of St Francis Xavier Catholic Church (Houston, Tx), and St Cecilia and St Peter Claver Catholic Churches (Southern Maryland). Currently he is the parochial vicar of St Patrick Catholic Church (Rockville, MD).
